Data Feed Paused

Our data source has gone offline. Since late March 2026, the Waze API endpoint we relied on to collect pothole reports has been shut down by Google. As a result, we are unable to collect new data and the map is not currently being updated.

We tracked 724 potholes across Fife before the feed went dark — and the roads haven't magically improved since.

What's next? We're actively researching alternative sources of Waze driver report data to get this tracker back online. If you have leads on a replacement API, or you work for Waze/Google and can help restore access, please get in touch via GitHub.

In the meantime, keep reporting potholes on Waze — your reports still help other drivers, and when we find a new data source, every report will count.

This map tracks every pothole in Fife reported by drivers on Waze — the world's largest community-based navigation app. The more confirmations (👍) a pothole has, the more drivers have verified it exists. Use this data to see which roads need urgent attention and to hold Fife Council accountable for repairs.
